Building fences
quimx Jul 2016
Dying animals trapped in barbed wire
Man-made men all flailing to conspire
To cross the sea of destiny for hope
to design their own form of misanthrope

Building fences of ignorance and tears
for the respect of their own group of peers
Creating borders to destroy their own wealth
to hasten the decline of their own health

Living animals limitless and free
with untold abundance and scarcity
Roaming the planet to frolic and breed
to the farthest reaches spreading their seed

Happy with total harmony and peace
with no concept of coverings or fleece
Communicating only by their senses
unless of course they start building fences

heartbreak motel
quimx Jul 2016
she wanted to love me for an hour
take off her clothes and then take a shower
then she kissed me like she knew me so well
in the lobby of the heartbreak motel

i told her i didnt have a dollar
she stained her red lipstick on my collar
then she whispered that she would never tell
in the lobby of the heartbreak motel

our passion consumed the entire night
and early the morning she took her flight
she left me a tip then she went her way,
'never find the words that you cannot say'

late night
quimx Jul 2016
late at night i never can sleep too well
prison bars staring at me through the cell
i tried to make it my momma told me
rise above cause freedom aint really free

in the game escaping this living hell
conjugal visit she can ring my bell
dreaming to be the man that i can be
bread and water my only ecstacy

sure enough i'm a make it out some day
with the keycard they slid into my tray
freedom aint free but i'm a make it mine
debt to society and time to shine
