The moment seemed long
I felt society I didn’t belong
But that is what society wanted me to think
I was thinking like a weak link
I was released from Prison being incarcerated
I had committed a crime stealing cars
I was robbing but didn’t get far
While I was behind those Prison walls, I would often dream in being free
Yet it was associating the understanding being the key
It seemed like it was an illusion but it was all seclusion

I saw myself being a Self-Motivator
Now in other encourage others, I had to first inspire myself
Going out and encourage young people to not be a bad example from the streets
But don’t go to Prison being a moment of temporary or even permanent defeat
Turn your cell experience into enduring inspiration
Life does have appreciation but you have to look around and find positive circles that will enrich your spirit straight to your heart
Where there is a bad road, you will also find a good road
Society will say you have no place
It is all about taking the chance and being given a chance
This is the way one does advance
But society wants a bad person to be an automatic human delete as a waste
It becomes cope with a hesitate
But as a Former Inmate, it doesn’t have a take
You have value and it all started when you were born
There was a reason and a destiny with a purpose

However, long before Prison and bad habits, I went to College and earned two degrees, a Bachelors in Business Management and a Masters in Public Administration
Even though education was my start, I had built the foundation
But I see there is a question, so what happened of why I went into crime?
You see I had the education, but I mixed up with the wrong elements figuring I could get them to change, but it came reverse, they made me change thinking my education was nothing more than proving something to the Man
But I proved that I could sustain knowledge and make something of my life regardless of what negative people think
It’s all about turn around and move fast forward
But never dwell on sorrows within uncertain rivers
But despite Prison, I still have the education appreciation
However, you emphasize the value of you before Prison even came up
Yet don’t get fed up
Just continue to present and what you have established in your own component of life and what it represents

Quality being golden comes within
Assumption is thinking then into present
A bad situation can comer with a learning good ending
Ladder words is what will help you reach the top
REACH, ELEVATE, CLIMB, MOVEMENT, STEP BY STEP
When it comes to knowledge don’t stop
Knowledge is the key in giving you the know how
It doesn’t necessarily have to be college, but educate yourself in something that will make you a stand out as a commodity

When people try to mock
Just say and plain simple tone, you haven’t been where I was, but my life is enhanced with goodness from on high, and there is a good person inside with a heart
Cherish always being you
Understand your theory in being you but having no mistaken command
You are a person in which no one can change, but you that person who can rearrange

Sometimes one must be quick thinking with a response while standing on your feet

It was a Christmas outdoor Pageant
It was the performance of the Nativity scene
There was a Camel who was mean
The Camel didn’t want to cooperate nor associate
He went berserk and went wanted to attack all the onlookers
Suddenly without delay, the Camel observed the Doll baby Jesus
In the manger
An immediate pause took effect
To everyone’s surprise, the Camel kneeled to the manger
The Camel wouldn’t move and it was as if the baby Jesus informed the Camel to be still and calm
After a while, the Camel responded it was ready and it was like nothing ever happened
The Christmas pageant continued without any further problems
I and everyone witnessed this not being part of the show
It goes to show, miracles do happen
A camel can become humble

It was the night as New York City and surrounding areas slept
But it would be a night of a devastation wept
Midnight being the precise hour
New York City and Tri-state started to shake
The citizens didn’t know how to take
This moment there was no time to love and hate
Yet rumbles upon rumbles came even harder
It seemed as if the underground was ready to pop
But it was a fierce Earthquake that wouldn’t stop
Panic throughout the streets
It wasn’t a battle but being defeat
People were running through the streets in Robes, Clothes and even ****
New York City Skyscrapers and apartment buildings were starting to sway back and forth
Any minute all buildings would tumble down
People were shouting ‘REVELATION AND REDEMPTION”
One by one as if they were on cue, buildings started to come down
You could feel the anguish of fear
Destruction surrounded everything that was near
Screams of death while some buildings crushed people
While others simply had a heart attack death
There was definitely no way out
Suddenly destruction no more, and silence came upon
There was no one left being among
The night sky was on schedule
Destruction and devastation only took a second
But the wrath of God was at hand
New York City was now in shambles
A night of the unexpected
Devastation having a cause
People’s hearts having a faux
Everlasting highlighting death’s end

Dance floor temperatures rise
It is the total environment energized
The music sets the mood
Dancing having no conclude
Couples dancing close
The Disco Ball glistens
Music in helping the Dancers to listen
Romance coming into motion
Music that unleashes the love emotion
Dancing straight and narrow to each others hearts
Hips moving in attraction
Affection and seduction
Dance fever turning up a sweat
The focus into the music, and just let it take effect

Surrounded by four by four walls
The Cell bars thick and tall
I have a small window to peek out and see Day and Night
When darkness comes, it becomes my personal night plight
Lights turn to out
My thoughts only settle in the present
The Jail Cell is whom I represent
No Family, Friends nor phones
I am totally alone
I pray to keep my mind sane
I try not to complain
This is my current prison time that will remain
In but with no out
My parole is being worked about
Tomorrow unknown
My Lawyer will let the facts be shown
But to society at present, I am not known

The real Robin Hood took from the rich to give to the poor

Our Modern Day, Robin Hood straight from Washington, DC White House from the poor giving to the rich

It seems being a Black doesn’t help in getting a job
We seemed to have gone back into time
What might be a matter back in the 50’s and 60’s in Racial Discrimination
It still exists even today 2019
The matter is, Hiring Managers have their own philosophy of a Black applicant
Whatever happened to ability?
The color of one’s skin doesn’t qualify with looking beyond talent
It’s illustrating no chance
But it’s a true opportunity in how one advance
Abilities with experience and is pointed out on the Resume
But Hiring Managers are making its business to turn a Black person’s Resume a boundary with another purpose in interviewing another Ethnic Group being a dismay
A Black person can have all the necessary qualifications, but will be told, “We are not moving forward with your Application”
I guess “Overqualified” is played out
But the question that will always come out is why?
Affirmative Action doesn’t even qualify on the application and don’t even understand the purpose of why it is even there
Resume’s show regardless the Racial Factor of what qualities in experiences being efforts candidates have achieved
The compensation may not be right
But when it comes to ability, the applicant can say what their abilities are not the Interviewer unless a test has proven otherwise
Interview me as a person and not Racial color involved
The purpose, there won’t be a Racial profiling to solve.

The Sun told me good morning and rise
I seem to feel energized

The way I was moving, anybody would have thought I was in a race
If I was going to be on time for work, I had to keep up the pace
This was a week day of work

A Four Days Journey ride
Just sit back and take in the scenery in stride

America countryside I would definitely see
My destination cross country was more than once
It was New York City to Los Angeles twice, San Francisco and San Diego, California
I saw major cities and towns that I read about in my school days
But this is an adventure having a Hotel stay
Witnessed the Rocky Mountains, the Mormon Tabernacle Church in Salt Lake City, Utah, Las Vegas, Reno and much much more and all from the Hound bus seat
That Greyhound bus brought America alive being a treat
It was the town people in their wave
When it got hot it was find a shade
No matter what, destination westward ** bound
Rolling highway wheels hearing the sound
But to my surprise I felt totally energized
I observed a Navajo Indian sitting on a White Horse with red and white feathers overlooking the Arizona highway overpass
He waved to us
A wave back was a must
Everyone on the bus was like a family, and had occupations varying of their own
For starters, a California School Teacher, Book Author and a Professional Mountain Climber
As for me, being a Greyhound bus observer and good listener
Intrigue and the unexpected came about
It was like something from the Twilight Zone
But if I hadn’t seen it myself wouldn’t have believed nor known
The Hound bus stopped in a strange Arizona town where there were no people totally deserted
It was like we had entered a Ghost town
It was 6:00 am and the sun was starting to come up
But it was the eerie wind that truly woke us up
It was a new day, but for who?
The tumbleweed were flying and the wind was blowing shatters against the abandoned houses
One passenger did get on being Spanish
The hound bus started on
We the passengers were now awake from our yond
It was that mysterious passenger to look upon
But no matter what, we were Los Angeles bound
So on the road again
Later, the highway sign said, “WELCOME TO CALIFORNIA”
Within a few more hours, we arrived finally into Downtown Los Angeles Greyhound Terminal
It was a journey well spent
It was according to what Heaven sent
I spent 7 days and took the Hound bus back
I remember people and places in my mind and kept track
Didn’t need any Diary as my mind was my data bank
I have Greyhound to thank
This 62 Year Old is writing this
Every detail had no miss
My thus being a must, and the Hound bus trip was an added plus.

A man with a spirit and a heart for Christ
Rise Up
Heaven has opened the Pearly Gates
I got a Heaven invitation and I must not be late
Dr. Lowery was under God’s accord and he was being obedient
He was committed to God’s word and whom he was about
It was his praise with a loud shout
That shout was extended into Civil Rights
Wrong that was a plight
Determined and full of fire
This was Rev. Dr. Lowery in not to tire
This was his honor, dignity and pride throughout the Civil Rights Movement
Go and I will follow
Along with those words were, “I shall not be moved, but be inspired by God
Years of torment in the fight for freedom
But it was God’s wisdom every step of the way
Freedom came
But Jesus was the answer
Rev. Dr. Lowery has stories upon stories of his involvement in making change
Through his commitment things began to rearrange
His teachings and preaching’s was salvation to sell
That was definitely Rev. Dr. Lowery show and tell
A man is not complete until he is whole
That philosophy became Dr. Lowery Heaven Threshold
Journey on my Sisters and Brothers
Civil Rights was my movement in the sunrise
But it was truly Christ’s energize that made everything possible
Yet today we must continue to band together and remind the world that the multitudes are the power
Heaven called and that was Rev. Dr. Lowery’s hour
His tomorrow was yesterday, and his robe was put on
March on my children as there is still much work to do
It’s Civil Rights and more important, salvation
Pray until you can’t pray anymore
Faith is the key and the assurance
Christ our Lord being the influence
The clouds have departed and his soul has been lifted up
If Rev. Dr. Lowery had a theme sermon, “Rise Up as Faith is your Deliverance”
But through it all
Rev. Dr. Lowery conquered and saw
Let his footsteps of wisdom being our victory of tomorrow.

Highway travel the threshold
On and off ramp

Once and a while rest stop
Sometimes rain could fall on car top
Highways to anywhere and any major city or town

Hitchhikers all on the road
Keep driving
You don’t know who they are
They could have a criminal history
Not knowing could be your mystery
Highways are often called Turnpike or Freeway
Freedom to explore
Sightseeing with a observe
Embracing a beautiful morning sunrise

A need to travel
Perfect get away
Journey into relaxation
That’s a way to spend a vacation

Soak up the effect
The highways are everyone’s friend

Drink up but begin to cut off
Alcoholism upon every glass
Depression can add to the drink
It takes counseling through a shrink
Many Alcoholics will sometimes be in denial
An Alcoholic must be honest and truthful in knowing that they are an Alcoholic
It’s not easy to quit
But there is a strategy that would fit extensive and that’s counseling
The Alcoholic would learn how to cope but along with everything else, there is also hope
The idea is to help see Alcohol as a poison and step away
Alcoholism is tougher if the Alcoholic doesn’t make the effort to become sober
Alcohol only ages you to look older
But there are many factors that cause Alcoholic’s to drink
Things that happened in their childhood
Prevention being hard to reach in could
Having stress in the current that started in the past
Another idea is the craving for Alcohol beyond one’s means
Let the truth must be told
To move away from Alcohol, the Alcoholic must be bold
The Motto is, “It takes time and is extensive, and you will be able to push away and you will be ok, but for the method to truly work, “It’s Alcohol to move astray”.

Your School seemed tough
You were determined enough
Success was always running through your mind
The concepts became a challenge
The knowledge was a privilege
It felt like hard knocks

It was Sept. 11, 2001
On that day, New York City was moving about and enjoying the refreshing sun
But it has always been said, quite it before the storm
Usually that is the norm
But that day seemed uneasy being a mission of Alert without warning
All eyes seemed to look to the skies
Two planes suddenly with a purpose going into the two World Trade Center Towers
The one word on everyone’s mind being “Realize”
Lives could be changed in an instance
Lives were loss
Destruction in multitudes
It seemed like a movie being a conclude
Beyond became among
Let me share my story in relation to 9/11/2001
Two days before 9/11/2001, I interviewed with Marsh & McClennan, Inc. to work on the 96th Floor at the Original World Trade Center Tower One
The next day on Sept. 10, 2001, I was told by the company I was overqualified
My name could have been read yearly in a memorial
But for me, God had a plan
It was you survived being a demand
But keep the remembrance throughout the land.

Giving thanks
Knowing you are blessed
Given time
The Lord that has smiled and kind
Together among
Tell the Almighty one
Living to see
Embracing Thanksgiving in making it what I what it should be
Sorry for the Turkey
Blessed by the food

My Grandmother prayed for me
She is no longer alive you see
My Grandmother often stated, “THE DEVIL IS BUSY”
Being a teenager with no understanding then, I thought Grandma was dizzy
My Grandmother and I would pray together
I got the foundation of what praying was all about
My Grandmother was showing me the elements of prayer instilling in Faith
She would pray Morning, Noon and Night
My Grand other wanted Heaven to watch over
She wanted the spirit of the Lord’s hands to cover
My Grandmother was preparing me for life independence when God took her home
I saw purpose as an adult that I will never be alone
Grandma left her legacy
It is now all through me
Grandma was my start up
Now it is my praise with a full shout
I always pray before moving about
The world is in turmoil
I belong to God’s soil
While Grandma went to the kingdom
She left me her wisdom
Even though Grandma’s hands have gone to glory
Her hands are yet still over me being her story
Grandma’s heart

Ideas to what you want to write
Words upon words rolling around in your head
Now the concept is too get the idea down on paper
Chose a subject that you want to write about
There should be nothing to figure out other than the words you plan to use
As for writing just don’t refuse
Be confident with total inspiration

I know you are going through hard times
I am keeping your situation in mine
But as a Landlord I must pay bills
Yet even still
I know you are a Federal Government in a shutdown
There is no explanation that can be found
You are struggling in a bound
But there are agencies that would give assistance
However, the Quest is not think resistance
As a Landlord, this is not your fault and I won’t evict you out
The reason I have compassion
Something can always be worked out
I know what you are going through
I have been down this road myself
So evict is not on my mind
I least I am a Landlord that is genuine
Now if our President could have the same approach
Sounds like I am making a joke
So Federal Government employees hold on
This shutdown can’t continue very long
Hostage is not a remedy
The President is simply a comedy
We are talking about human lives
Survival is a how people stride
Frustration is just one illustration
But the President needs to work things out
Right now all the President does is beef in shout.

He’s ready to perform
So who is STEPPIN?
He was a man who danced his whole life since he was 15
His talent surrounds his Grandfather who often taught him step dancing moves
But it was his Grandfather dancing wit on the Broadway stage with sheer galore
STEPPIN’S Grandfather conquered and saw
He encountered prejudice and Envy
STEPPIN’S Grandfather was determined to perform being a must
Assumption wasn’t going to make him fuss
It was all the action of music and dancing being the plus
He often got mixed emotions in BOO’S and Applause
But music was STEPPIN’S Grandfather clause
So STEPPIN feels he has an act to follow
It’s in the legacy and need not be shallow
Every given step is a cheer in STEPPIN’S Grandfather
So every given step with the beat goes on in his Grandfather’s honor
So as the show goes on
