It seems being a Black doesn’t help in getting a job
We seemed to have gone back into time
What might be a matter back in the 50’s and 60’s in Racial Discrimination
It still exists even today 2019
The matter is, Hiring Managers have their own philosophy of a Black applicant
Whatever happened to ability?
The color of one’s skin doesn’t qualify with looking beyond talent
It’s illustrating no chance
But it’s a true opportunity in how one advance
Abilities with experience and is pointed out on the Resume
But Hiring Managers are making its business to turn a Black person’s Resume a boundary with another purpose in interviewing another Ethnic Group being a dismay
A Black person can have all the necessary qualifications, but will be told, “We are not moving forward with your Application”
I guess “Overqualified” is played out
But the question that will always come out is why?
Affirmative Action doesn’t even qualify on the application and don’t even understand the purpose of why it is even there
Resume’s show regardless the Racial Factor of what qualities in experiences being efforts candidates have achieved
The compensation may not be right
But when it comes to ability, the applicant can say what their abilities are not the Interviewer unless a test has proven otherwise
Interview me as a person and not Racial color involved
The purpose, there won’t be a Racial profiling to solve.

A Four Days Journey ride
Just sit back and take in the scenery in stride
It was that Hound bus and me
America countryside I would definitely see
My destination cross country was more than once
It was New York City to Los Angeles twice, San Francisco and San Diego, California
I saw major cities and towns that I read about in my school days
But this is an adventure having a Hotel stay
Witnessed the Rocky Mountains, the Mormon Tabernacle Church in Salt Lake City, Utah, Las Vegas, Reno and much much more and all from the Hound bus seat
That Greyhound bus brought America alive being a treat
It was the town people in their wave
When it got hot it was find a shade
No matter what, destination westward ** bound
Rolling highway wheels hearing the sound
But to my surprise I felt totally energized
I observed a Navajo Indian sitting on a White Horse with red and white feathers overlooking the Arizona highway overpass
He waved to us
A wave back was a must
Everyone on the bus was like a family, and had occupations varying of their own
For starters, a California School Teacher, Book Author and a Professional Mountain Climber
As for me, being a Greyhound bus observer and good listener
Intrigue and the unexpected came about
It was like something from the Twilight Zone
But if I hadn’t seen it myself wouldn’t have believed nor known
The Hound bus stopped in a strange Arizona town where there were no people totally deserted
It was like we had entered a Ghost town
It was 6:00 am and the sun was starting to come up
But it was the eerie wind that truly woke us up
It was a new day, but for who?
The tumbleweed were flying and the wind was blowing shatters against the abandoned houses
One passenger did get on being Spanish
The hound bus started on
We the passengers were now awake from our yond
It was that mysterious passenger to look upon
But no matter what, we were Los Angeles bound
So on the road again
Later, the highway sign said, “WELCOME TO CALIFORNIA”
Within a few more hours, we arrived finally into Downtown Los Angeles Greyhound Terminal
It was a journey well spent
It was according to what Heaven sent
I spent 7 days and took the Hound bus back
I remember people and places in my mind and kept track
Didn’t need any Diary as my mind was my data bank
I have Greyhound to thank
This 62 Year Old is writing this
Every detail had no miss
My thus being a must, and the Hound bus trip was an added plus.

You are not all that
Now follow me too the fact
People will move around like they are the one
But they don’t know the reason of why they are among

The circumstance came as really understanding the new family member
It was hug one another and a family that prays stays

It was then let’s celebrate, and eat
Chicken and Biscuits led the entire way with direction, and knew the way well
The family was now blessed

A house on Thriller Blvd
It was empty
It looked haunted
I wasn’t sure if I should step in or stay out

It turned out to be a Ghost
Unfortunately, it was Casper nor friendly
Chills went up and down my spine
I felt the urg4 for some serious wine
That haunted house had plenty of moans and groans
I thought maybe I should leave this house and the Ghost alone
A mouse was frightened and shaking in a corner
My every moment was a dare
Yet curious with care
What was I thinking?
This was definitely a mystery
Then again, I could be history
This would be the perfect time to run
I want to live being among
Suddenly the Ghost demanded that I get out
I didn’t need any order to tell me that
My thought was your demand is at my command
My mind may have been on disorder
I didn’t move fast enough
I was thinking this is all bluff
However, the Ghost proved his point
The Ghost chanted, “He was David Hess who once lived in the house, but was murdered by a family member”

Walking down the street of NYC Madison Avenue
You have no idea in what I went through
I won’t even give you a clue
Heading towards LIRR, Long Island Railroad Grand Central Station
Suddenly caught off guard
All three bags came to a rip
It’s a wonder I didn’t slip
My merchandise went flying to the ground
Light to slimming darkness skies was coming
Oh no being my sound
It was a Believe it or not moment
But on the other hand, maybe America’s Funniest Videos situation
None the less, I was in a circumstance
Laughs were on me
For everybody to see
Those shopping bags were a joke
I was the victim in poke
People passed by me with no help
Luckily, I was near my Buddy’s shop, who is a Manager at a Men’s Store
He helped me out and I was able to move about
That day, I will never forget
The rips being my regret
My thought, why me?
What was suppose too be a holiday adventure
I became the venture
Rips with fails
This ends my story tail.

Love affair
Heart to heart transactions in the air
It was a large Banking Corporation Office Tower in New York City
Eyes met
Tony and Regina’s dating set

Tony and Regina worked as Temps for the same agency
Worked in different departments within Investment Management Group of Stocks and Bonds
There was definitely a love thing
However, it was noticeable and plenty of observation
A regular employee of the bank stated, “Tony and Regina have romance going on
It didn’t matter, love was love
I can assure you, Tony and Regina felt it was everything to think of
They even went to Bloomingdale’s 59 and they joked around
In fact, there was this long dinner table fit for a mansion, and Tony played like he was rich and having an elegant affair, and it was a sensation
Not only was Regina impressed, there was an audience that wasn’t expected
Applaud love and Regina behind it
Nonetheless, love story genuine
Suddenly love took a down turn
Not on Regina’s part as my temp assignment had come to an end that day
Regina was out sick
We were so busy dating, and never exchanged phone numbers

I have seen America and that is no hesitate

I have my Hotel when I arrive that I will stay
I am picturing Banjos, Trumpets and any other musical instrument that I can think of as I ride
It’s excitement in what America provides
The feeling of welcome
It’s the hound’s way in illustrating

The name says it all, the Greyhound blend
Travel until the end

A day that was like yesterday, but unexpected
A past with the skies clear, sunny and true
Warning was on call with surprise
The former Twin Towers were attached
Two major Commercial airlines were used as missile jets
New York City and the entire world that was on caution
Onlookers petrified
New York City was terrorized
Yesterday with no purpose of a tomorrow
Sorrow still has no morrow
Closure always remembered
Today the skies spell hope
Heaven is the cope
Embrace the past with the moment of lives loss
Devastation ashes became risen
We are who remain have a reason and purpose to carry on
Remaining strong in togetherness
We are the chosen survivors enriched to stand
We can’t be stopped
Destruction is not our reward
Continuous striving
We are protected by a Mighty Fortress, the Lord
Terrorist thought they would win
They wanted our Soul’s to end
Heaven said, “I am the begin”
I am the Mighty that can
Wounds will never completely heal

History is history drawn by observation to attract

The thought of the old Dinosaur Escalators at Macy’s Herald Square
The old fossil’s still work
It gets Macy’s customers from selling floor to selling floor
They still work for sure
I know, I worked at the Macy’s Herald Square Tower for 38 Years on the 13th Floor of the Corporate Executive Office
Those old escalators were established since Macy’s Herald Square was built in brick and mortal
I can assure you I am not a fixture, and wasn’t around when Macy’s Herald Square was put together
Let’s just say I made history working for Macy’s, but I could be considered a Legend
However, I was around during the real MIRACLE ON 34th of the
MACY’S and GIMBEL’S era
The old escalators are still in effect and they have history of their own
No mystery
The old escalators are tour attractions to see in being accompanied in Macy’s Herald Square past and current of old and new.

Morning Mr. Postman
Do your thing in bringing my mail
You do with care and without fail
Sometimes mail I need to respond
You always follow through
It’s a daily routine to pursue
You are the king of the neighborhood
You offer candy treats to the kids

Ship Ahoy
Oh Boy
What a joy
Vacation time
It’s the Norwegian GEM
As I stepped aboard
In my mind was oh my God
Luxury and elegance all combined one GEM
The ship complimented the Hudson River like a diamond shining
It stands tall and seen by all
Manhattan Cruise Terminal in New York City is where Norwegian Ships arrive and depart
So New York City is the start
Once you get through security and check-in
You step aboard and one’s vacation has officially can begin
Through L&M Tours, we went on an excursion and had lunch on the Norwegian GEM
It was a ship like no other ship
You felt the excitement
But the thought I had, I must venture on a cruise ship has an experiment
Yet relaxation and fun
There are so many events, and you will never be done
As far as boredom, there is none
All one has to do, recline your feet and let the ship swish your mind away as the Norwegian GEM being your getaway
I will definitely take a cruise myself when I retire
However, it all depends if I don’t expire
So long ship mates

My Grandmother prayed for me
She is no longer alive you see
My Grandmother often stated, “THE DEVIL IS BUSY”
Being a teenager with no understanding then, I thought Grandma was dizzy
My Grandmother and I would pray together
I got the foundation of what praying was all about
My Grandmother was showing me the elements of prayer instilling in Faith
She would pray Morning, Noon and Night
My Grand other wanted Heaven to watch over
She wanted the spirit of the Lord’s hands to cover
My Grandmother was preparing me for life independence when God took her home
I saw purpose as an adult that I will never be alone
Grandma left her legacy
It is now all through me
Grandma was my start up
Now it is my praise with a full shout

While Grandma went to the kingdom
