But I have a heritage and my honor is my privilege

It all started with World Wars
Drafts for men were expelled
Some men who didn’t want had to compel
But Highway buses had to continue to operate
Bus travel is how passengers associate
Men were caught in war details
Bus operations couldn’t just fail
How would highway buses still operate being dominated by men?
Women applied for the task
They were hired in numbers fast
Women knew they had what it took to drive a bus
The country was going into war and there was no fuss
Some women drove trucks
Driving a bus would no problem
It was a matter of putting on the bus uniform
Operating on schedules being the norm
Praise the women who had the courage to pursue the highway bus driving career
Today, women are driving in the Greyhound preserver

A major city with a Big Railroad Station
The residents who live there applaud in appreciation
But on this particular day something was wrong

Man wants Hope and Inspiration to disappear
Man thinks they are the answer
But the true answer is Jesus Christ
Dr. Kong showed the world, your rights are your grounds to stand
Its written constitution throughout the land

Race and Creed are values
It’s not a curse in what Man believes
But also don’t be taken in by deceive
It’s a matter of Man’s inner intrigue
But Rights and Freedom is how all Races are too proceed

Man says you need a College Degree to excel
Heaven has its own tell
Heaven incorporates a decree in divine understanding
Yet praying in Faith is what is outstanding
However, it is throughout sustaining
A degree is only a piece of Cardboard
It can be torn and thrown away
Heaven’s decree is in the heart and soul that will always stay
The decree is Heaven’s decree in salvation Higher Learning, but with understanding
Man’s emphasizes Degree
Heaven emphasizes the soul in decree
Yet the Bible is the Teacher and Learning tool
Man states the Degree of fulfillment is what is cool
Man’s books are nothing more than theories and concepts
The Bible gives knowing how to live using the concepts in realities like case studies giving hope in knowing how to cope
Higher Learning is a process through a certain period
Yet Heaven’s Higher sustaining salvation is external into everlasting
However, Man’s Higher Learning, one doesn’t always master or understand the principles involved
The Bible opens up the principles with divine understanding beyond any College Textbook
Salvation is the educate, and all one has to do is take a look
So Man thinks a degree that will take you far
Yet knowledge, wisdom and perception is Heaven’s components come beyond the stars
A degree may look good with your name and degree name
But Heaven is all the Higher Learning involved having aim
It takes Prayer, Faith, Believing and Trusting being God’s decree to everlasting education and knowledge
Man’s Degree and Heaven’s decree all over privilege
But Heaven is the key that truly gives leverage

Emotions that the Poet wants to share

Feel alone?
Trapped in your own spider web
You would rather not get up, but stay in bed
Other things are on your mind instead
First thing you need to do is get up

Remember the Good Times TV series, this isn’t it
It’s all about woes
Even involves on the New York City Subway of someone stepping on my toes
Well the so called Refrigerator that was supposed to be new broke down
I had no portable Freezer to be found
There was no warranty
Yet there was no honesty
Get in the car, but didn’t get far
Suddenly without notice, I was ejected from my own car, and told to get out
It was a wonder I didn’t end up in Long Island Sound
There I know I wouldn’t have been found
If that isn’t enough
I am sure to call someone else’s bluff
I was asked to create a Wedding Cake
Too me for Heaven’s sake
Can you guess what happened?
That’s right, the wedding cake crashed to the floor
I had to clean up and not ignore
As I was heading out the door, one of my jacket sleeves started coming loose
Now I felt like a naked Moose
What else can go wrong?
Remember they say in exercise go for the burn
My body felt like a hot urn
In fact, I was so stiff
Only thing I could think of was if
Talk about go for the burn

What is it about Houndtown?
Could it be a name associated with the Greyhound bus?
Perhaps there is a relationship to the racing Hound?
Assuming is not going to help
Research is what I felt
Let’s go deeper into the story and find out about Houndtown being anywhere in the USA
The town was formed in 1924 in the backwoods being nothing more than full of forest
Hunting was its biggest hobby
However, I firmly believe hunting went beyond hobby, and into food survival
I see your mouth is drooling
But don’t get too hungry
Remember the animals roam, but I will leave that alone
Some kinfolks from Houndtown say it relates to numerous breed hounds that would be in the area
No one really knows why various hounds would be in Houndtown, but my guess being the forest in the wide open spaces
Now that would be a trace
Maybe I should add that the racing Hound got Houndtown’s start
It went beyond becoming a town on a map
It could have been Houndtown written on my cap
Yet, the racing hound being fast on its feet
Victories with very little defeat
Houndtown being a small town portion
I wasn’t born there, so from me it is only a notion
Now some historians have stated that Houndtown discovered the Fountain of Youth
Don’t rush to Houndtown looking for the potion as that would be a miracle
I have to keep it real
That is how I deal
So from what I have heard Houndtown seemed to have a lot of promise
Now I had to be honest
Houndtown with a name nobody knows, but through narration now everyone knows.

Alumni approved. The title alone says a lot. I literally had the desire to go to college, but I had to persuade myself to do it. I didn’t think I had what it took for Higher Education. Back at Springfield Gardens High School, my Spanish Teacher told my Grandmother during parent night that I wasn’t college material. My Grandmother responded with “She was going to make me college material”. My Grandparents were from the very start. My Grandfather had practice Typing 4 hours every day straight. He also prepared me for what college learning would be like in demonstrating Lectures and Theories. It didn’t stop there, it was through the Dictionary and Thesaurus incorporating words into intellectual speaking language.

My Grandfather was strong on college education. He often said to me, “I don’t care what the other kids are doing as it is going to be college for me”. In September 1976 is my journey prospered at CUNY MEDGAR EVERS COLLEGE in pursuing my own possible Degree with the thinking impossible. Everything was concept and theories just like what my Grandfather predicted. It was sit down taking notes and preparing for Midterms and Final exams. I was always the shy type, but through the CUNY MEC breakthrough, my opinionated triumphant prevailed.

MEC made me who I am today, and through my darkest moments working within the business market. Some might say they created the Monster in me, but I became an achiever. I excelled in numerous corporate responsibilities, and Typing proved helpful. I worked directly with the Hard Hitters and Movers and Shakers. My MEC years became effective, and always has a reflection back in how far I came through MEC. I was molded into who I was meant to be, and some of my Professor’s was my inspiration. Some of those Professors would often me encouragement. Now that I graduated from MEC as an Alumni, I encourage others in their own uphill climb to expectation. I am retired now, but keep myself active in WRITING/POETRY. I want to be an example of their fulfilling and willing at the same scope. I want to see and know their potential in able and always enable. My writing spoken words are all over the internet in different mediums. I am also involved in the Bus Industry with over 2,000+Toy Scale Model Buses. I have been recognized by Greyhound Bus Lines, Inc. in their Corporate magazine being a Photo and Feature. I have also received awards for my Poetry. My can do is a follow through. MEC made it happen. It started with desire, and teleported to my own frontier by achieving and always believing beyond the cloud of doubt.

Band playing
Drinking and Dancing
Summer heat
Hot with desire
Only Baltimore
Nightlife Place
Full Moon transform
Old School into New School
Jazz all around
Downtown Baltimore bound
Old Baltimore couldn’t be beat
Every night was a treat
Far beyond the Star Spangled Banner history
Old Baltimore was its own story
Romancing and loving
Full of excitement
Old Baltimore was an enter
Pure adventure
Just be front and center

The moment seemed long
I felt society I didn’t belong
But that is what society wanted me to think
I was thinking like a weak link
I was released from Prison being incarcerated
I had committed a crime stealing cars
I was robbing but didn’t get far
While I was behind those Prison walls, I would often dream in being free
Yet it was associating the understanding being the key
It seemed like it was an illusion but it was all seclusion

I saw myself being a Self-Motivator
Now in other encourage others, I had to first inspire myself
Going out and encourage young people to not be a bad example from the streets
But don’t go to Prison being a moment of temporary or even permanent defeat
Turn your cell experience into enduring inspiration
Life does have appreciation but you have to look around and find positive circles that will enrich your spirit straight to your heart
Where there is a bad road, you will also find a good road
Society will say you have no place
It is all about taking the chance and being given a chance
This is the way one does advance
But society wants a bad person to be an automatic human delete as a waste
It becomes cope with a hesitate
But as a Former Inmate, it doesn’t have a take
You have value and it all started when you were born
There was a reason and a destiny with a purpose

However, long before Prison and bad habits, I went to College and earned two degrees, a Bachelors in Business Management and a Masters in Public Administration
Even though education was my start, I had built the foundation
But I see there is a question, so what happened of why I went into crime?
You see I had the education, but I mixed up with the wrong elements figuring I could get them to change, but it came reverse, they made me change thinking my education was nothing more than proving something to the Man
But I proved that I could sustain knowledge and make something of my life regardless of what negative people think
It’s all about turn around and move fast forward
But never dwell on sorrows within uncertain rivers
But despite Prison, I still have the education appreciation
However, you emphasize the value of you before Prison even came up
Yet don’t get fed up
Just continue to present and what you have established in your own component of life and what it represents

Quality being golden comes within
Assumption is thinking then into present
A bad situation can comer with a learning good ending
Ladder words is what will help you reach the top
REACH, ELEVATE, CLIMB, MOVEMENT, STEP BY STEP
When it comes to knowledge don’t stop
Knowledge is the key in giving you the know how
It doesn’t necessarily have to be college, but educate yourself in something that will make you a stand out as a commodity

When people try to mock
Just say and plain simple tone, you haven’t been where I was, but my life is enhanced with goodness from on high, and there is a good person inside with a heart
Cherish always being you
Understand your theory in being you but having no mistaken command
You are a person in which no one can change, but you that person who can rearrange
My dreams always have a full hope
It doesn’t make you a dope
Yet it comes with assurance you will always be able to cope.

Heaven heard
Homeless Man felt alone and an outclass
Suddenly a rush of wind
Just then
Encouragement sat in
It was Heaven to the Homeless Man on Earth
Created with a purpose
Embraced with inspiration
You are homeless in the moment
Great things are going to be a turnaround
Heaven’s promise
There will be a pursue
Here’s what you should do
Trust and believe
Blessing is what you shall receive
Wonder is what you will see
Just believe on the Almighty being me
Pray no matter what
Your circumstance will become victory
You will have a story
Testimonial glory
One day
Tomorrow’s beginning
Hold on Homeless Man
Tell your story in what is too come
You will never be lonesome
Your mission
Your success
Your purpose
Your whole life defined spiritually
The outcome honest and true

The ingredients of patience
Emotion of tolerance
Yet a questionable assurance
This is involves elements of the job market having influence
It surrounds the three elements I described in the title above
It has nothing to do with a cooking selection
How Recruiters review applicants being their regularization
Applicants can feel as though they are being picked for a job like a bet at a Horse Racking Track
Are they wagering their bets?
Perhaps relishing on their own regrets
Recruiters are saying they are using the Applicant Tracking System as an alibi
But it is through understanding, and here is the reason why
Computers can make errors causing an oversight
An Applicant that might not have the words in the Resume, but is qualified to be considered for the job, but has been separated from the interviewing pack
It’s all pure fact, and no need for me to trace back
It’s a wonder that applicant’s even apply for any job
Because like cattle in the pasture, the applicant becomes just another candidate mob
I know the volume of candidate’s make the Recruiter’s job difficult
But look at the damage to the applicant being felt
The applicant feeling positive then it turns either an interview or no interview at all being negative with no exact reason why
Yet, applicants are told to keep trying, but what is the purpose?
It often has been said to try and try again
But the can becomes the reason for when
It’s abilities that applicants have been in to make their skills solid along with their experience
But the whole process is like competing in the Olympic Games using endurance
Where is the inspiration of assurance?
Again, applicants are told to proceed proceed, but what is the need?
Opportunity is what applicant needs in being a chance
It’s not look me over in a distance glance
To be honest, no Recruiter even understands the applicant page
The agenda becomes the regular stage
I am an applicant, and Recruiters would be amazed
It seems the applicant is ****** into the volume like a vacuum cleaner
Nothing could be meaner
Recruiters only see the applicant as just another voice in competition, but they don’t see what value the applicant can bring to the company
It all falls under assumption in what the Recruiter individually thinks
So Recruiters, are you looking for rare, medium well or well done
Recruiters, are you gamed in keeping candidates among?
