The audience witnessed themselves in applause and they did see
The Poet explained to the audience he never gave any thought in being a Poet
It was something in the ceiling that gave him the idea
As you can see he did preserver
But I encourage anyone with a desire to write
Unlock your mind with fear and don’t be uptight

Shirley is sitting in the living room reading a Thriller book
In fact, it made her shook
Suddenly there was a knock at the door
At first Shirley thought, should I just ignore?
Shirley was so into the book, she wanted no interruptions
But then at that moment decided to answer the door
When Shirley opened the door, she was confronted face to face with a Tall Attractive Man dressed in all black including sporting a black cap
Suddenly without warning, the Tall man pulled out a knife
Shirley immediately screamed
She definitely needed help quick
Her Neighbors heard the commotion and summoned for the Police
Shirley was in a peril and thriller beyond any book
Just when the tall man was going to attack, the Police arrived in time and saved Shirley’s life
Mysterious and Curious being a thought
But a Thriller beyond any current book Shirley was reading
Death wasn’t written in the plan
This wasn’t even at the Tall Man’s command
A peril that became a resistance
The swift movement of the Police was an instance
So a peril today was actually a turnaround being the other way.

It was a tight Election race
You had Debates with Trump face to face
The American people voted Change
The continued Trump agenda being insane
Biden stepped up to the plate
You spoke on America’s fate
You said I want to be your next President before it is too late
America’s voice rang out loud and clear
Another day of Trump put America on fear
How can we get Trump out?
It took votes in making choice come about
America has been instituted in separation
Now that is un-American with no appreciation
Biden platform, “You want to bring togetherness back”
Embrace all Nationalities into unity
Tense moment as the Election went along

Voters had no idea of how the Election would turn out
Just then days after, the sunrise shined
A new day of a new Tomorrow
President Elect Joe Biden and Vice President Elect, Kamala Harris were the winners

There were two people that were my personal heroes, Donald Coffin and Natalie Alston, who were both 93 and died
They left me the inspiration to stride
The understanding that both provided
Some people say to me, play that number 93 in the lottery
But my thoughts are on maybe and possibly
However, nothing is really guaranteed
93 is not an easy number to reach in life, it is a gift
It is eternity blessings stored
But accounts all from the Lord
So the lottery, don’t be so sure

93 for me is encouragement

But living to be 93 at least I would be still among
Not everyone can live to even reach 93

We are finally at “EXCEL”
Now that is self-explanatory
Having inspiration in movement to succeed

But one must have hope throughout

This is a requirement to believe

I don’t have any decent clothes to wear

Reality is going to be a mission to kick in
Many doubted that I would be a success
Yet I had own doubts being my confess

Ira Steinberg
A man who lived his life surrounded by buses
The Bus Company called COACH TOURS
The passion to once drive
A journey in the bus industry of survive
Mr. Steinberg was once the proud owner of Coach Tours
He blossomed like a refreshing inspiring rose
His bus enthusiasm was his own suppose
Our friendship became value
Mr. Steinberg once asked me about getting tickets to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
He asked me because I work at Macy’s Corporate New York, and because Mr. Steinberg was a man committed to bus company success, I couldn’t say No, and followed through on his request
My efforts was acknowledging the promise
It was a man I had respect who was honest
I will never forget the COACH TOURS BASEBALL CAP
For me, it’s the Ira Steinberg map
Each time I wear the cap, I feel inspiration through his spirit

Drink Up
I am a true Texan
Came from a small Texas Town
Travelling on a Stage Coach kicking up dust
I came to a town called “REFRESHING GULCH”
That town has the right name
But I am just being lame
Those folks drink Sun Up to Sundown
Now I don’t drink along those lines
But then again, have I truly lost my mind
However, all I can remember I was knocked out drunk
It happened in the Pleasure Saloon
I had arrived on that Stage Coach at noon
What a way to begin a journey
By the way, my name is Ernie
Somehow, I was so drunk, I was put into a hotel room in town
It was called “SETTLE YOURSELF”
I woke up and found myself in nothing but my underwear
Talk about an embarrassing moment
Barely holding steady
I have a hangover the size of Wyoming
There was a knock at the door, and it was the Sheriff Hummer, checking up on me
I asked the Sheriff, “How did I get into this room?”
He said he carried me
All I can remember is seeing the Can Can Girls as they showed dance in can
I just kept drinking as I could into when with no end
That’s where everything turned black
I don’t remember anything else other than that
However, I do remember a lady name JOSIE
Beautiful Gal
But she disappeared
Now I want a smoke
But all I am thinking of right now is GUNSMOKE
I am waiting for Marshall Dillion to step in
But all I want to do is for my drinking to come to an end
Now I can’t walk through Refreshing Gulch dressed like this
I am here in my underwear

Personal valuables have no worth
My CO-Worker at work told me his parents are nowhere to be found
A sudden silence came over me being no sound
I was on my knees being praying bound
After it was a moment of wait
Many minds being the thought of fate
I hope and pray it wasn’t too late
Suddenly, good news from the shores
The CO-Workers parents were found alive
Prayer and more prayer
Praise into glory

Her story wasn’t always so sweet
Slippery in fact

It was at the Oak View Plantation
It wasn’t a place full of fascination
The City and State was Clever, Alabama
Her life was full of struggles
Miss Butterworth was often beaten morning, noon and night
Her whole life was life with unquestionable plight
Miss Butterworth wanted to see freedom as her guiding light
That night, Miss Butterworth made her escape
Vast rivers surrounded the Plantation all over
When it rained she found cover
But her determination to be free rang high
Here’s why
Miss Butterworth often talked to other slaves of Freedom ways in the East
That was her vision in encouragement at least
Miss Butterworth thought back that all she could think about running through her mind was, “I had to be free”
She often heard Dogs with Slave Masters tracking her paths
She ran and ran until she was out of breath
Miss Butterworth maneuvered through the many rivers undetected
That was how the plantation dogs loss her scent
Miss Butterworth was now her own human body in represent
She knew within her heart, she had a purpose and reason to live
Slavery was only a form of suppression
But that plantation taught her a valuable lesson
“You must be determined enough and move with reaction in stating enough was enough being victorious
Miss Butterworth made it East to New Jersey
Her eyes were wide opened to a new beginning, and a chance to excel
Miss Butterworth immediately fell to her knees and prayed to the Almighty Heavenly God
Through his mercy and blessings, he got her through
She was not on Freedom Road
Now you know the story being told
Miss Butterworth’s name is famous on many Syrup bottles being her threshold
Freedom now and forever

I think on the strives our Black Ancestors made
It was a struggle to get done
Yet maneuvering and proving made their name among
Names that come to mind such as George Washington Carver, Medgar Wiley Evers, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jesse Owens, Joe Black, Jackie Robinson and the list goes on and on
So what makes their specific Black Achievers great?
It was their focus on achievement and continuing no matter what
It was their understanding
Their purpose being their own contribution
So have names on educational institutions for example, MEDGAR EVERS, CUNY MEDGAR EVERS COLLEGE
I am proud to say, I am the product of CUNY Medgar Evers College embracing in the Medgar Evers Legacy
I was honored too be taught at CUNY Medgar Evers College by Dr. Betty Shabazz, Widow of MALCOLM X
I was inspired in her teachings and values
So Black History had and continues to be an impact on me
“To be a success, you must be taught in wisdom associating from the best”
That is my honest and true confess
But these say what is really in my heart
“Struggles are only preparations being what is expected in life. It comes with understanding in what knowledge provides. It comes with true meaning in believing, but with observation in listening”.

A Homeless Man who wanted to die
It was suicide he was going to try
Immediately, he stepped over the bridge edge in attempt to jump
Suddenly, pause
Let’s retract like a rewind video tape
Why should this Homeless Man pursue suicide?
He doesn’t have to stay Homeless
He shouldn’t feel priceless
He also shouldn’t feel useless and down in pitiless
Let us pray for the Homeless Man to the Father above
A Homeless Man is in despair
But you Heavenly Father are beyond compare
Show the Homeless Man the way

Miraculous recovery being the aim
The Homeless Man was able to clean himself up
He managed to get a job and an apartment
He always dreamed of going to College, and he got that opportunity
The thought of suicide was no more

It wasn’t a moment for a Camel Smoke

The trainer attempts to put back on

The trainer forever tries to put the Red Cloth on, but the Camel throws the Red Cloth off again and again
Finally, the trainer got a reminder from the Camel, didn’t I show you I didn’t want that Red Cloth on me, and the Camel takes his back Leg and hits the trainer in the head
The Camel’s mind had other things in mine instead
Suddenly without warning, the Camel is full of Rage and went bersek
The Camel is charging at the audience out of control
Can anybody stop him?
Thereafter, the camel suddenly looks directly at the Doll Baby Jesus
A transformation turnaround begins
The Camel immediately bows as if it was commanded
The Camel proceeded to kneel before the Doll Baby Jesus, and wouldn’t move
There was a soothe and a miracle to prove
There was a certain calmness and peace
It was as if the Doll Baby Jesus encouraged in Spirit and truth
The audience including myself was amazed at what at just transpired at that moment
The Camel got up and moved quietly as if nothing ever happened
A raging Camel became a humbled Lamb

There is a train coming for President Jimmy Carter
On his way home to the Kingdom of Heaven
While living, President Carter’s life was always on the move
His heart and generosity to the American people President carter proved
A true Humanitarian
His spoken words being encouragement
Being nourishment for the needy
Faith being his key factor his entire life
I looked to President Carter being like a father
I felt like a son listening to his wisdom he shared
Even though we never met, I did witness him always on the TV
Negativity was never part of him
Four years after, President Carter was running for President again,
and I had taken a Broadcast Journalism course at CUNY Hunter College
My class had the opportunity to be engaged on BILL BOGGS TALK SHOW
In 1980 when President Carter and President Reagan were running for the Presidency on FOX 5
It was a political year that year
Unfortunately, President Reagan won the White House in 1980
President Carter didn’t see it as defeat, but saw it as an opportunity to be
Involved with the people and be involved various social functions
Humble man and upright
He gave all for mankind
Pure genuine
President Carter had a determination spirit
For that he gets 100 percent merit
President Carter was devoted to his wife in love
Romantic and long lasting
Heaven’s open hands welcome
America saddened
Everlasting assurance
President Carter is looking down on all of us saying, “Head Up and Look Up”

But instead of reading about it, the reader is confronted within the pages of dialog in reality
Guns are being fired

You are up close and personal with **** Tracy investigating
The idea is too show justice in making these Gangsters come clean
The reader is all part of the action
You see clues that are little or an inch of faction
It’s like a movie scene inside the Detective book
The thought of guns and bullets would make anyone feel shook
Again, it is all happening inside the book
The Reader finds themselves surrounded in the 1850’s in how fighting crime or being part of a crime was a way of survival in live or die
Minutes having no estimate
**** Tracy’s mission in getting these Gangster’s to serve time won’t be easy
It certainly isn’t cheesy
But there is a break in crime
Don’t give me any nickel nor dime
The reader’s become the witnesses
But it is best to say, ‘PRIME TARGETS’
**** Tracy and the Gangster’s all have guns
The reader has no weapons and is lucky to still be alive among
But **** Tracy has everything under control
These Gangsters are acting on bold
So what you have read before about Gangster’s has given you up close and personal truth in allowances
It was hard to believe in your youth
But that is the truth
All it took was being ****** into a Detective book
Being selective and reflective being all it took
You are **** Tracy’s wonder

From New York City started my cross country ride
Scheduled Ground Transportation that only the Greyhound Bus can provide
My destination was Los Angeles on the West Coast
I was questioned why the bus by most?
I didn’t answer because I didn’t want to boost
But I knew I was definitely travelling to the West Coast
So my journey continued on
This was a vacation in where I would belong
Scenery through the countryside and towns
Now in between Major Cities could be found
All these happenings while I was reclining seat settling down
We were now arriving in another town
We arrived at a place called Evanston, Wyoming at the Starlight Diner
This was our meal stop
I ordered from the Menu that was sitting on top
But when told the Owner/Cook in what I wanted to eat, he stated, “I am all out of Food”
I was very hungry, and my mouth even drooled
The Owner/Cook replied, “Greyhound cleaned me out”
How many Greyhound’s passed through was my shout?
But I certainly wasn’t going to make this a bout
There was a fly around, and the Owner/Cook used a Fly swatter stick, which killed the insect
That swatter had that effect
Meanwhile, the only food that was left was a Burger, but surprised the Diner still had a bun
It was better than nothing being next to none
However, I won’t complain because at least I ate
That Greyhound Bus arrived at my final destination two days later On-time and not late
This was a vacation that had no hesitate.
