Bright eyes that see colors everywhere rather than a drab monochromatic view  of the world

A nose that can appreciate good Scotch and night-blooming jasmine, at the same time

Ears that can hear Mozart and Queen, a cascading waterfall, and the click-click of a puppy’s paws

A mouth that can open wide to condemn evil but stay tightly shut when listening to a friend

Scared

I'm so scared
I know what may be coming
And it isn't pretty
I just want to crash already
And burn up into smoke and flames

For better, for worse
doesn't apply if he beats you up
Please pack your stuff and be gone.
If the same arms that keep you warm
also causes you harm, my sister, RUN.
Love and abuse are parallel lines,
they never meet.
Maybe he'll change, maybe he'll not
I'll say, please do not wait to find out
You can't tell when it will be too late. Go!
Wind blows recklessly
wild, sun kissed hair
my dreams die in the summer air
A revolution
is comin'
over the peak,
through the valley of truth
we stand tall,
firm, and heavenly
in our youth
a revolution is a
comin'
stand tall and near,
for when you
beck and call,
I'll be right here
there's a new age comin
I see it through my
rear view mirror,
when the white horses
ride through the storm,
I'll be right here
arms open, ready to steer
Yesterday, I dreamt
of you in the dawn
of my heart, beating
vermillion red, my hands
shaking and cold.

Today, I dream of me
my mind clear, and open
as I wash the past
from my body,
and seek the day
in all it's beauty
write your verses
speak them into
the wind
let them fly,
fly high amongst
the breeze

write your
name into
the trees
etch them in
and be free

leave your mark,
leave your woes,
embrace the day!
