as we close this chapter of yesterday
to start the new chapter of today
times of the moment have now slipped away


with the sights of new faces
and the sights of new places

the new things we learn
the things that drive us

the memories of the past, go by so fast
our brief memories, from our past history

the thing that we cast. are the things that last
the things we forget are the things that we miss

what the future has in store, is something I don’t know
we can only dream and take it slow

slow for the moment, the moment of time
as life goes by , one second at a time
