Don't Tell Me That You Love Me

Don't tell me that you love me if your
words aren't felt within,
don't say what I need to hear
if isn't genuine.
I've been down that road before,
I can't stand another lie,
don't break my heart with
promises
born to live and die.
Don't tell me that you love me
if you cannot follow through,
what you say I lean upon
forever trusting you.
