Nov 2014
my calloused hands shake as i run them down your ivory-colored arms.
i am afraid,
afraid that moving will cause you distress.
it's just that you are a ******* goddess among humans
and i want you to live your eternal life spotless.
you tell me to stop being so tense,
but i cannot be anything but.
i am weak and fragile, but i still remain in a constant state of cautiousness.
because i am glass and you are diamonds and i want to be scratched.
if i am shattered i want my last will and testament to be that i spent my last breath loving you,
and you loved me back.
for once in my life i feel like i have to be careful,
i've lived a long, reckless, life, trust me, darling,
and it's with not a girl, but a statue.
you're the earthly epitome of perfection and i am only human.
