if you want to drown, let yourself drown
but only if you feel so down
that nothing seems more appealing
than that bittersweet feeling
of letting go and letting in
all your drunk sins
of yesterday's night.

let yourself go
so you can get so low
that no man can ever reach
nor hear any screech
that may of your soul come out;
not even if you shout
can you bring yourself back to light.

but, once in a lifetime
you get to survive
this endless pit we throw ourselves in to;
you get to come back from the blue.
only to enter a whole different world
in which you find something worthwhile
that keeps you above the waterline.
