We are so clumsy

We get caught in our little moments
Like laying on our own private beaches
Swimming in shallow clear waters
Trying to find small creatures
And running along the coast
We laid there for the longest time

"You are so beautiful"

You are a cliche
But in your unintentional way
That allows me to know you mean it

You sneak up right beside me
And sit yourself down
Because somehow you know I need it
That I need you next to me
To keep me sane and to laugh with me
Taking up space and sharing time
