Today was the first day that I didn't think of you and ache
My heart a shipwrecked mess
Because of our mistake
I'm lucky I made it out alive
As the vessel took on water
My lungs struggled to turn to gills
The ocean tried to take me but I fought harder
Against the pull of the current and the undertow
Against the tomb of the murky blue that only other sailors know
