Sep 2014
long he'd feasted
on a diet of pining
so inadequate
twas his dining

he so yearned
for delectable
nourishment
his longing twas
in an infernal
discontentment

to savor of her salver
so delicious
to delight in her treats
so scrumptious

yet his dietary needs
were lacking
in care
he had so little
of a lovely
fruity pear

he sat at his lonely table
in a modality
of penury
living his days
aspiring to taste
the cherry lips
of a
sumptuous lady
