If I were a holy angel
I'll tell you what I'd do
I'd paint the vibrant sunsets
and make sure the skies were blue.

I'd ask The Lord to bless me
that artistic jobs were mine
I'd distribute dewdrops
and polish them to shine!

I'd be happy helping people
I'd want to make them think
I'd inspire poets
and give them grist for ink.

I'd scatter the stardust
brighten up the moon
and busy up the butterflies
to make the flowers bloom.

I'd make each tiny snowflake
coat your panes with frost
and make sure the colors
in the rainbows are not lost.

But since I'm not an angel
I'll tell you what I'll do
I'll pray the holy angels

bring all these things to you!
