What Would You Give

Two families on opposite sides
though they share similar minds

one family's daughter is a beautiful sight
her hair blonde with blue eyes show true might
she shall meet a boy whom she must never speak
though the sight of him makes her knees weak

one family's son is strong and bold
his hair is black with green eyes that aren't cold
he shall meet a girl whom he must never speak
though the site of her makes his heart beat.

In secret they shall meet
thinking the consequences they can beat
if they seek to be together  their family's say the cost
her right arm and his left must be lost

happy and proud they had won
their eyes would change once they see their son
nothing remains of his left arm not even a stub
for his love was not one of a cub.

hearing their daughter
the family rushes in to see no water
a crimson color would drip to her feet
for now her right arm was nothing but meat.

They paid the price him his left her, her right
if you had to choice for the one you love would this of been alright?
