In meadows green and lush I often see butterfly on graceful wing Going about through the day Flitting flower to flower. To surprise me along paths Ladybug rest upon my shoulder Without a sound as butterfly But so tiny and colourful Then flies away home. Ah, near the closing of day Firefly light up the meadow so dim With flickering light so soothing Night curtains close but warmth of firefly lingers. Before going to sleep I watch firefly And listen to nature's nocturne.
