In some early mornings dawn
When father time has brought the fall
Have you walked among the hardwoods
And below the oaks so tall

Have you stepped upon the leaves
Of orange and red and brown
Have you felt the breeze so cool
That gently brings them down

Have you heard the morning chatter
Of squirrels in the wind
And the chorus of a cardinal
As the day begins

Have you watched as the sun
Turns the sky from dark to blue
Or the honking soundΒ ofΒ geese
As overhead they flew

There is such beauty in a woodland
On a quiet cool fall morning
A perfect place to be
A place to be returning
Just thinking about and anticipating the arrival of Fall,
"Thank you Lord for the changes in the seasons".
