Illicit Games
said the lawyer to his client...
you'll be locked away
for all the misdeeds
you've done
ripping off your business partner
has bough you undone
said the client to his lawyer...
you've mounted the best defense
that you could
now it is time for me
to be incarcerated at Dartwood
said the lawyer to his client...
there is no chance of an appeal
a ten year sentence is your deal
this is what you get
for being such a heel
said the client to his lawyer...
have you no criminal stains
upon your wig and gown
I've been told that you're
one of the shiftiest lawyer in town
said the lawyer to his client...
the judiciary hasn't caught
me out yet
but in the future
it may find something on me
that's a good odds on bet
said the client to his lawyer...
none of us are above the law
and one day you'll be locked
behind a set of cast iron doors
said the lawyer to his client...
yes! I must admit
that over the past twenty years
I've been involved
in some shady ****
said the client to his lawyer...
we've both chosen a path
of shame
and a judge's gavel
shall always bring an end
to all illicit games
This piece is of my imagination.
