The Face Behind The Mask
The August felt like November
and my mood followed
suit
A wind that held no silence
From a cool blow that battered
me
As if
I wasn't bruised enough
For I was the broken one
A mind so empty of full
In a world so barren of soul
And so I pained
I pained for others
I pained for help
I pained for relief
From this madness we call Earth
No pills to change my eyes
No laughters
Fill my heart
These tears are all but wasted
Left
I'm left the all behind
The walk into the emptiness
I'll join the blinkered mass
Condition red
We fall in line
The face behind the mask
