Aug 2014
yes
It started with a liquid kind of courage
The words dripping off my tongue
Telling you not now, not ever
Don't get used to this, us
Into a whirlwind
A hurricane of tears, laughter
Amazement
I was so unsure of how it would go
How I would take another step
Toward you
How you became a part of me
In it bore a new wave
A new kind of courage
The kind that tethers your soul to another
To anchor your heart
In the quiet sighs and raging storms
The kind found deep in the recess
Of this love
Of this life
