I've lost myself along your way
And I'm honestly not sure that I care today
Because we're going no where
Tired of you tearing me down
I need a space to call my own
Need to find myself on this road that leads me home
Here I am waiting until you let me go
Here I am and now you're all alone
How long can we wait for things to change?
How long before we just turn to dust and fade away?
Need to figure ourselves out
Cut through the flesh of our own self doubt
Never thought it would be this way
I am the worst and you are to blame
You're in my bloodstream
Drying my veins until I'm just a silhouette
Of what you viewed as perfect
Discerning the subtle changes in our love's hue
The lies fall into pieces that I left for you
Now close the door and lock it tight
Then I'll know you're safe tonight
Turn on a song that means something
Believe I'm still there but you're only seeing
The ghost of what you wanted me to be.
