For the girl I love mountain surmount
glide through the roughest ride
what others say is of little count
I stand firm by her side.

So what if eyes in dissent frown
roll tongues in derision
tries the world to tear me down
I have taken my decision.

Don't bother me her caste or creed
her wealth or social class
know this much her love I need
without it I would be poorer worse.

She is the girl that's all I know
worth walking the longest length
stay by her in high and low
protect with all my strength.
