Trample on the winter snow
Leave footprints before they fade
Forgotten are the noises made
Trace your trail to heaven’s lane

Pause for the crying child
Clear teardrops before they are made
Mess up the toughest days
For calling out your name

Make your way into the center
The deepest even possible
Take away the love and hate
The most that you desire

Run away from the chasing willows
But stop to look if they follow
Turn around to see the broken swallow
Yearning for a better tomorrow
