Ammunition
You collect your ammunition,
piece
by piece
by piece
and wait until
the time is right.
Then you let go of it all
and an extra few.
Each bullet
pierces
my soul
and my heart,
leaving scars.
The old scars
heal up
but
I give birth to new ones.
It pierces,
piece
by piece
by piece
until
eventually
nothing remains.
