May 2014
You exude raw beauty and sentiment
Through the skimming of your fingers on a guitar
And your singing voice blasting from my speakers
I often wonder why you're not a star

I can still remember stumbling across
Your covers on one summer night last year
I found myself in awe and at a loss
That your songs exhaled emotions severe

Still, I want to thank you, Hans
For triggering me to write or draw at 1 AM
I'm sure you've garnered yourself some fans
And I'm content to know I'm one of them

I hope you carry on with that career
As we delve into another school year
For the schoolmate-slash-musician who unknowingly inspired me to channel my bottled-up thoughts into sheets of paper and ink.
