The man

Once a boy, foolish

He became someone to be proud of.

After lost love and heartbreak

He became a fear

Memories are all he had left

He lies where he once loved

But now it’s where he had lost

He can still feel you in the dark

It’s as if you are next to him

Your touch is missing, I can see it;

As his skin quakes in remembrance.

Though his thoughts are still wrapped up in dreams

He believes nothing will complete him until he feels you again;

Longing to feel the warmth of your compassion

He has become possessed to be obsessed.

Life without you is a nightmare for him

Horror turned into reality.

The tear streaming down his cheek

Has turned cold as like his heart

A picture of you is all he can bear to see

And suddenly, a warm glow lightens up his face

Your smile makes him happy.

You bring him peace

This man, once a boy lies where he dreams.
