She did sit on the beach
that woman I loved, so fine
we danced on the beach
after a few bottles of ninety twenty nine wine

She knew me by my full name
and did not mind if it took ten minutes to say it
she was cool and knew literally everything about me
yet they came for her that night, thinking she was me

God I tried to tell them I was the one
but in a sudden instant she looked at me
and by her eyes within words
told me, my brother be free

I had to hold back
as they took her, she did it for me
they took her back to the wild
back to the deep blue sea
