last time
i don’t ever want to forget
how rough your hands were
yet how softly they touched me
but i do want to forget
how lost i feel without
your soft touch
i don’t ever want to forget
how bright your eyes were
and how they locked with mine
but i do want to forget
how dull mine became
when i got on that plane
i don’t ever want to forget
the way you lifted me up
and kissed me for the last time
but i do want to forget
the lack of you in
every other kiss.
