There you sit
In your red crushed velvet jacket
Swaying to the music
A ribbon in your hair

Gazing at the bad boys
In sneakers torn and tattered
Smoking in the corner
You just can’t help but stare

Silhouette desires
Pearls form your neckline
Sweetly blowing kisses
Below the neon light

Can’t they hear your whispers
Seeking merely favors
Nothing past tomorrow
For only but tonight

Longing for a taste
***** on the counter
Fingers crossed and hoping
Waiting to be seen

Lonely minutes count
Stiletto heels are hurting
Could it be they’ve noticed
You’re only seventeen
