On this mountain
comes alas, all the gush
and hurried buds of Spring
in bursts of pastel colors
petals drift and float serene
labyrinthine dawn's waking river

Along this mountain wall
a million scented petals spiraling upward
escaping on the rising, warming thermals
entwined they fly fantastical with birds
