Roger Turner - Poet
Poems
Feb 2014
Two halves of one heart
We crossed paths a thousand times
Tunnel vision, never seeing
Focused on just our desires
But, never really seeing
The person that we needed to
Give us purpose, be our one
Was oh so close through out our life
But true vision, we had none
We are two halves of one heart
We are two halves of one whole
We are two halves of one mind
We are two halves of one soul
Different schools, and different treks
So close and yet so far
We lived in the same complex
We drank at the same bar
Same interests, different orbits
The same friends, but still apart
I'd never ever met you
But, I knew I loved you from the start
We are two halves of one heart
We are two halves of one whole
We are two halves of one mind
We are two halves of one soul
You know just what I'm thinking
Just as I the same with you
Just a look, a simple movement
And I know what you will do
We were searching for each other
Though we both knew we would find
The completion of each other
We just had to give it time
