Yellow Broken Rays

The moon shone in the window Yellow broken rays I turned towards you Wrapped my arm around your waist With trembling hand Traced the lines on angular face Curious Where does your mind journey When the God of slumber you embrace Listening to your breath Inhaled in Breathed out with ease Salty winds off the ocean Mixed with sounds of rustling trees Content with the fact I know who you are Without ever having met Then I touched your lips to mine The universe stopped Halted time A smile played about your mouth Aware of my closeness Opened your eyes When the moon shown through the window Broken yellow rays I turned and wrapped my arm around your waist This is a soul paying a visit to a man she fell in love with but had never met in person. They had only exchanged words of unspoken passion This poem is copyrighted and stored in author base.
