Waiting here, full of excitement
For another new year to begin
Spiralling on till December
When we do this all over again

We celebrate one old year ending
As another one gets ready to start
How long will it take in the new year
Before all we plan falls apart?

As we age, every year seems much shorter
Turn around and it's ready to go
What it brings, well, no one can answer
So...it's time we got on with the show

Another new year is beginning
I'll try to watch it begin
But, I feel my eyes getting heavy
And I'm sure I'll be sleeping by then...
