I watched her as she walked to the lake of silver
there she laid a wreath of Ivy with tears in her eyes
I know that she does truly loves me
but her heart can not forgive my dark ways

She was wearing white silk
a blood red ribbon in her hair
this dear heart of mine
even made this Angel cry

Do I blame her for breaking away, no no
for this is the testing time of faith
and even one as wonderful as her
could not see the light that burns within me

Yet as she casts the Ivy to this silver lake
the moon casts a shadow on her
and I see the pathway to her soul
and I know she still loves me

So torrid am I, such a dark storm
even though I gave fair warning
I don't think she will ever forgive me
as she casts me into the lake of tears
