I crouched in the corner Face turned away Trying to pretend I was invisible Inside my heart bled Arms crossed protecting my head On my lips sat words I could not say
Peering out from between my fingers With hesitation Hoping to calculate The furious path Of soon to come directed blows
Holding my breath The onslaught of hate ceased The body gave way to fatigue Realizing my loving attacker Was tainted with an emotional disease
The desire for control and ******* Violent thoughts that drove the actions Ran through my soul Aware suddenly I was alone With icy marrow Chilled to the bone
