Dec 2013
The morning mist danced around her delicate feet
as she inhaled summers crisp cool air and smiled
for she knew she was halfway to paradise
and no more tears would be shed by her

She looked back singing in distant prayers
as the home she has left started to fade
inside her lonely mansion laid her body still
her twilight life waved in lamented goodbyes

No more would she bless this world
for her tranquil new world was calling
she reached her arms up to the heavens
and the heavens took her with open arms

Now always she would be embraced by love
no more sadness would she have to endure
she would live in love and kindness
not just for a lifetime, but for ever more
