Dec 2013
The trees in the valley do now shed their leaves
trinkets of gold, crimson and sunlight yellow
they coat the ground in carpets of wonder
oh how beautiful is this land, so mellow

It's time to bring the timber in
time to rekindle the fires
make haste to fill the larder
as daylight soon will tire

Get the thermals to the ready
as winter comes, they will be needed
and when Mr Christmas arrives
with brandy and biscuits he'll be greeted
