daddy was a trucking guy he just love to roam
truck it was his bed highway was his home
travelled every where each and every town
from early morning  light till the sun goes down

had a  free spirit soul roaming wild and free
his truck hotel on wheels he just long to be
freedom was his way all he ever knew
sometimes come to visit me for an hour or two

then back to the highway to another town
driving all day long till the sun goes down
pull in to a truck stop park up for the night
on the road again  in the early morning light

maybe when i am older be a trucker to
drive each and every highway like daddy used to do
be a wondering soul travel wild  and free
my hotel on wheels will be my home to me
