Rivers flow
Through paths newly erected by the grand builders
They stand tall and strong.
A master of destruction stands between its pillars
Hammer in hand,
Preparing to disprove the strength of what was built to keep the water from flowing.

With each swing of his hammer,
Heavy to lift,
But light with every swing
He proceeds to demolish the beautiful architecture before him,
Keeping it intact,
But weakening the foundations of the pillars.

Before long
This unknown man succeeds in his mission,
Water seeping from the cracks beheld by the work of the man below --
Beheld on for his eyes to see.
