Nov 2013
Crawling through the undergrowth
looking for a moist retreat
for safeties haven in rotten logs
away from keen eyes and birds beaks

Lumbering slowly
as metamorphosis is soon
to become a beetle
that is guided by the moon

To find a mate is it's first duty
in the short time of it's life made complete
to make plenty their kind
these wriggling grubs beneath your feet
