Coming Into Me

     Well it took a long time but
I’ve come around
I’ve escaped from the cage
From the past that held me down

All of my insecurities and all
Of the overwhelming doubt
Like a snake I’ve shed my skin
And I’ve busted my way out

My heart is gold though it’s
Far from being pure
But I’ve given it to Jesus
Because I know he’s the cure

When you look at me
You’re gonna see the light
You’ll know without a doubt
I’m on a heartfelt Flight

Though some may think I’m crazy
Just a Monkey in a tree
Those who know the truth
Know I’m finally Coming Into Me
