daddy was a country boy he loved the country sound
singing in the  bars he would travel all around
write his own song sing them to the crowd
when they sang along it made my daddy proud

they would dance away as he began to sing
singing country  music was his everything
they would dance all night dance the night away
danced to every song till the break of day

next day move along to some other town
play all night long till the sun goes down
singing songs he wrote he loved a country song
everywhere he played the crowds all danced along
