The light chasm.
All the way down the endless pit.
It had been here all along.

After all the stars were consumed.
The universe was the endless pit.
The all dark consumed all light that sparked and shined.
All light that glowed and illuminated.

I traversed the endless dark wilderness.
With nothing but hope.
And in doing so I left behind newborn stars in my wake.
Expanding the universe behind me.

It was never a chasm of light.
It was me.
My travels were creating a newborn light.
It's why I could never reach the light.
I was the light.
