I can’t breathe!

For eight minutes and 46 seconds

George Floyd cried

Just before he died

Before those who saw him pinned down.

I can’t breathe!

For eight minutes and 46 seconds

George Floyd cried aloud

And being witnessed by the crowd

Just as he gets pinned down.

It took eight minutes and 46 seconds

To **** a man

Dying for no reason,

Like it’s like killing season

But why **** a man that can’t breathe?

For eight minutes and 46 seconds,

Where a police officer decides to play God

To press their knee on his neck and what’s odd

That they pinned him down

But he couldn’t breathe.

It was eight minutes and 46 seconds

They left a man to die

On the street why?

Why use their knee to ****?

And now the world stands still

To see what will happen next.  19 April 2020
