The sound of traffic below me and a light on to show me that I don't need the light on to hear.

ah!
Wednesday and its child should be full of woe
but no,
I feel no woe

just checking the calendar in case I got the days
mixed up
and no again
it's definitely Wednesday.

My morning cup of Joe
coffee is bad they say
but so is Wednesday,
they say that too
in fact
they say
that nothing is good for you.

I woke up and no pain
so I woke up again just to be sure,
and I was right,
I don't need the light on.
