Invisible Man

You live your life, working for the
Man clocking in and clocking out
You ask yourself what’s the purpose
What’s this life all about

Sometimes you just want to get away
Somewhere far across the sea
Just to escape the darkness that surrounds
You but a loaded gun couldn’t set you free

You’ve seen your heroes on
The big silver screen
You wish you could be like them
But you’ll never be that keen

You might feel a need for praise
That you have never gotten
But deep down you’re just hoping
To be someone that’s not forgotten

When your life on Earth is through
And it’s put under a careful scan
Will the results clearly indicate that
You were more than an Invisible Man
