There's a corner
    of my heart
    which somehow
    I can't touch-
    could it but be
    I'm not sacred enough
    for its holy sanctum
    such that its door
     it chooses to shut?

    I'll be humble
    and patient
     though now
     I'm in the dark
     hoping in earnest
     as I embark
     on the sojourn
     to my self-purification
     perchance by then
     I might make
     the mark.
