End
Our hands forgot how to nurture
Gentle simplicity
Is lost in our muscle memory
No sunlight and soft whispers
to coax a sprout
Only the chemical warfare route
Foraging a forgotten trade
And now the fruit is engineered
man-made
The neighbors were my friends
But we all boarded up our houses
And wait for the end
