I’m No Charlemagne
I’m No Charlemagne
My name is Charles
AKA Chuck But I’m not great
At age sixty three sometimes
I walk with an unsteady gait
Sometimes I get down on myself
But I can’t explain why
Sometimes I am proud to be me
Can’t please everyone but I try
When I’m working I work hard
I always try to be the best
But I am only human and in life
Sometimes I fail the test
I always ask myself
What would Jesus do
I don’t always comply
My evaluation is under further review
Sometimes I speak my mind
Your approval I’m not seeking to gain
Though I try, I know I fall short of
God’s glory and I’m No Charlemagne
