You do what you can
Your best to try and save
But with the little that is left
The Gov comes and takes it all away

He knows just what he wants
Sees all that you have
Well, bless my soul don't let go
Cause he wants even that

He'll twist and bend until you break
Or at least until you bruise
To top it off you have no say
What his bags of tricks preforms on you  

You work yourself to the bone
Day after grueling day
When the Gov comes along
And takes all away

After all you scrimp and save
Everything you save and scrimp
I'm not sure in the midst of this
It's what the Government
