She swallowed a star and spit out a wish
Then said with a scowl and a raised arm and fist
“My dreams should come true, and my wishes be met”
Then she dodged all my questions like a goalie deflects
I varied my angles
I was upfront and direct
But she shunned my advances with abandoned neglect
So I took off my gloves, and I pleaded my case
She looked in my eyes and we got face-to-face
Then she turned, and she left, for her trip into space
And I was voted to savior of the whole human race
